The Ardmore Tiger Marching Band traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, to perform at the Epcot Center. Thousands of spectators were able to hear our students play a Medley of John Philip Sousa Marches. Even though the parade was ten times longer than originally anticipated, the students met the challenge head on and delivered a world-class performance
The 2009 Disney World Trip was a blast. Both students and staff have stated that this was one of the best trips that the band has even been on. An interesting event happened this trip. Shelby Goldsmith, one of our trumpet players, tried out for "The American Idol Experience" which is a brand-new attraction at MGM Studios. Shelby went on to place "1st Runner-Up" in the event. Congratulations Shelby!

Spring Concert
Well, the Annual Spring Concert has come and gone. As always, both the Middle and Symphonic Bands did a superb job. Each band played several pieces of music that had the audience on their feet several times. We would like the congratulate all of the recipients of the various awards and scholarships.
