Mr. Tim Simpson has been teaching for 20+ years at Briarcrest Christian, First Assembly Christian School and Arlington High School. He holds a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Memphis. He has been married to his wife, Meredith since 2000 and they have four daughters, Lily, Allie, Hailey, and Molly. He is very excited to be working with the Arlington Band.

Mr. Sam Schirmer
Assistant Director of Bands/Director of Orchestras
Mr. Schirmer holds a bachelors degree in music education from the University of Memphis where he played euphonium in the Wind Ensemble and trombone in the Symphony Orchestra and Southern Comfort Jazz Orchestra. After graduating he accepted the assistant director job at Horn Lake Middle School and High School where he worked for three years before being hired at Arlington. He is very excited to begin the next chapter of his career as an Arlington Tiger!

Mr. Christian Smith
Percussion Coordinator
Christian’s diverse marching arts career includes Gateway Indoor (2015 and 2017), the University of Memphis (2013-2016), the Memphis Grizzlies Grizzline, and WGI Scholastic Open Indoor with Collierville HS. As well as teaching at various high schools in the Memphis area, he has been on staff at Gateway Indoor (2018-2019) and the University of Memphis (2019) as a bass tech, and Spirit of Atlanta (2018-2019) as an Audio Engineer. 2020 marks his sixth year working with Arlington HS.
